Already in 2019, a donation enabled 1,200 seedlings to be planted on the grounds of Kamasengre School. The prerequisite was that the school could be fenced. The next step was taken in April 2021 with a nursery of its own. Besides the benefit of growing seedlings and planting them on the grounds of schools, churches or on beaches, or even selling them, the main aim of this project is to impart theoretical and practical knowledge to the students and to educate them as ambassadors of environmental protection in Rusinga Island.
